A diamond pull cut in two down the middle, with a leaf carved into the middle of the face. Sold as a set of two halves in solid ash. Each half carries one side of the leaf; fitted either side of the gap between two doors, the two curves meet at the join and the figure completes itself.

It is the only pattern in the range that is not made of straight lines. The carved shape sits centrally, tall and pointed at both ends, and the flat around it is left untouched — so the eye goes to the middle of the handle rather than round its edge. Against the hard geometry of the diamond it reads as a deliberate contradiction, which is the whole idea.

Four sizes, from a 92 mm diamond on a bathroom cabinet to a 192 mm one on a wardrobe, and twelve finishes. The price changes with size only, not with finish.

Same shape, same four sizes, a different face: plain, with no carving, a single grooved outline, two parallel lines, mirrored arches or an interlaced weave.

Mounting

Decide first which way the split will run: vertically, between two side-by-side doors, or horizontally, between two fronts stacked one above the other. The steps are the same either way — the pairs of holes simply run along the split rather than across it.

  1. On each front, mark two points at the centre distance for your size — 32, 64, 96 or 128 mm — running parallel to the split.
  2. Drill a 4 mm hole at each of the four points, through the front.
  3. Pass an M4 × 30 mm screw through each hole from the back and thread it into the insert in the half, tightening by hand with the straight edge along the split.
  4. Finish each screw with a quarter turn of a screwdriver — no more. Overtightening pulls the insert out of the wood.

This is the pattern that most needs the two halves level: the leaf is a single curve split down the middle, and a curve that steps at the join looks broken rather than merely crooked. Measure both fronts from the same reference edge, close them, and check the two points of the leaf before the screws grip. If your front is thinner than 24 mm, the screws will stand proud inside the inserts; that is normal and does not affect how the pull holds.
Materials & workshop

Wood: solid ash, single block per half. Hardware: two threaded metal inserts and two M4 × 30 mm screws per half.

Eleven of the twelve finishes use ADLER Legno Dura-Öl, an Austrian oil-based finish. It leaves a matt, open-pored surface — the colour sits in the wood rather than on top of it, so a green pull still reads as ash and not as painted board — while resisting water and household chemicals the way a varnish would. The oil is certified to EN 71-3 for the migration of heavy metals, and to DIN 53160-1 and 53160-2 for saliva and perspiration resistance. The twelfth option, Unfinished, is bare sanded ash with no coating; it is the palest of the set and darkens with handling.

Cut, shaped, sanded and finished in our own workshop in Roman, Romania. A curve cut into a face crosses the grain at every point along its length, which is why this one is finished by hand: a machine leaves the fibres torn where the line turns. The two halves are cut from the same board and stay paired through finishing, so the curve carries its colour across the join instead of changing tone halfway.
Care

Wipe with a dry or barely damp cloth. The oil finish resists water and household cleaners, so no special product is needed and none is recommended.

The carved line is shallow and open along most of its length; a dry brush clears the two points, where it narrows. Unfinished pulls have no coating and darken with handling.
