Icons & Crucifixes

Orthodox icons and wall crosses carved in relief from solid cherry or ash, in our workshop in Roman, Romania. The image is cut into the wood rather than painted on it, so it reads by shadow — the grain runs through the face and the folds of the garment without interruption.

Nine icons, from Christ Pantocrator and the Virgin Mary and Child through to Saint George and the Holy Trinity after Rublev. Each comes in three sizes, in cherry or ash, with or without an engraved inscription on the reverse in one of nineteen languages, Church Slavonic and Greek among them.

Carved to order, three to five working days before dispatch.
