Organic Wall Clock, Carved Solid Wood
A wall clock with no straight edges. The face is hollowed into a dish and the rim ripples around it, so the outline changes as you move past it and the shadow it throws on the wall never settles into a shape you can name. There is no bezel, no glass and no printed dial — the hours are marked by shallow holes bored into the wood at different depths.
300 mm across, 42 mm thick, in cherry or ash. Cherry is the warmer of the two, reddish and close-grained, and it darkens over the years. Ash is paler and open-pored; on a face this deeply hollowed the grain sweeps around the dish in wide bands, which makes the ash version the more restless of the two.
Quartz movement, one AA battery. The battery is not included — lithium and alkaline cells are restricted in international air freight, and shipping one with the clock would delay or block a good part of our orders. Any AA will do.
Made to order in our workshop in Romania.
