Cherry is the warmer of the two, reddish and close-grained, and it darkens noticeably over the years; ash is paler and open-pored, and the grain runs visibly through the robe and the sleeve. Depth runs from 24 to 42 mm depending on size. The frame here is the most worked of the series — a continuous band of small carved rosettes rather than a single running motif — which is why the panel reads as brighter than the others from a distance, even in the same wood.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe inscription can be set in the language you choose, and the back can be engraved with a dedication — a name, a date, a line of scripture.
